One of my favorite scenes from the miniseries North and South.  In this scene, during the Mexican War, George Hazzard (one of the main characters from Pennsylvania) mets the woman who will eventually become his wife, Constance Flynn.  Later in the series, there is a dialouge between the two about this night. “You know I fell in love with you during our very first dance,” Constance says.  George grins and replies jokingly, “Was it my face or the uniform?”  Smiling and looking lovingly in to her husband’s eyes Constance says, “It was the way you looked when Major Laferty cut in on us, like a little lost puppy dog.”
